ALPHABET RALLY

Held on 15/16/17 June and organized by the BMF (Shropshire), and held just off the A442 at the Alverley social club. This was also the venue for the NABD annual general meeting on the Saturday.

Camping was in a field across the lane from the club. The Oddballs mcc loaned the use of their 'tea tent' where a hot drink could be had for a nominal charge.

Most styles of bikes were represented from rat/survival to slick styled small sports bikes, and from streetfighters to trikes

Debbie Brennan, who's a member of the British Para Olympic team, and her farther; arrived early on Saturday afternoon to show and demonstrate a power adaptation that can be fitted to a wheelchair. (She'd been on Tomorrows World with it only a few weeks before). once the necessary bits have been fitted the powered front end can be put on or taken off in seconds.

That wasn't her primary reason for attending though. It was to claim her first ride on a motorcycle that John Pittaway, BMF rep and one of the rally organizers, had promised her a couple of years ago. Guy who has an advanced riders certificate was selected to take her for the ride. The plan was for a trip of a few miles into Kidderminster and back But on their reappearance instead of turning into the car park they carried straight on to Bridgenorth before turning around and coming back to the site.

As you can see from this picture she throughly enjoyed the experience and started to asked about trikes!
