What an interesting word stick is! You can pick up a stick. Stick someone: or stick something. This last meaning of stick is to attach, glue, bond, join or weld: and there has been plenty of that, especially welding  on Jayne's first trike.

'Stick' was brought as a unfinished project O.k let's hook up the plough an' get going which used the drive line from a plastic pig. (For those of you not from the UK that's slang for any 3 wheel vehicle built by Reliant).

It's no use you hiding behind there! come out and pick up this grinder Jayne & Paul had decided that to transform this pigs ear into something worth being seen on: it was going to have to have some major plastic surgery.

After stripping it to a bare frame, the cosmetic surgery began by the removal and replacement of the top tube:  "Brrrr! it's cold out here with no clothes on!" various brackets were cut off and rewelded along with some new ones. The engine and gearbox were then refitted.

Time now to step back and see how things looked before going on. "Ahh! that's warmer" The seating arrangement and body work was decided on and the work carried out. It was then stripped back down and painted. The frame getting a coat of deep black and the mudguards and tank sprayed Ford purple, and there you have it! "Oh! Look a swan!" " no it's a trike you pillock." Jayne rode 'Stick' around last year and sold it earlier this year to a chap from the north of Scotland, who had never ridden a trike before: and so had something like a 300 mile maiden ride. (ooer Mrs.). Jayne sold 'Stick' as she had a hankering to own a bike engined trike, So the money from the sale went to buy a Yamaha XJ 650 for her next trike project.

Thanks go to John and Jaynes dad for their help in the production of this motion  pic..... Er I mean trike.

Oh! Why Stick? Well Jayne says that it's something to do with The Prodigies "fire Starter" and the time and place they were. You know you just had to be there. (we probably were but asleep in our tent)
